Do you know who is most likely to die in a disaster?
In an emergency?
It is often the people who are PANICKING.
The people who are FREAKING OUT and unable to remain CALM.
This past summer I listened to “The Unthinkable” by Amanda Ripley.
She details a number of disasters and breaks them down; who lives, who dies, who has a chance, who doesn’t.
The biggest common denominator?
The biggest lesson?
REMAIN CALM!!!!!
Take action – but do it while CALM.
Let’s all work harder to remain calm.
Wash our hands.
Practice good hygiene.
ONLY GO TO HOSPITAL IF actually experiencing respiratory distress or any of the other SYMPTOMS the health care orgs are recommending going to hospital for.
We CANNOT overtax our health care system now that we need it more than ever.
So?
Keep calm and wash your hands.
