Thoughts and musings from keynote speaker and high performance coach Ari Gunzburg.

Taking a Little Time Off

Why would I go roller blading at night when it’s difficult to see?

Last night I went out and did a few miles on the roller blades.

I had been meaning to get out all day but it just didn’t happen.

Later afternoon when I thought i I would have time duty called; I had to take my son somewhere.

And then it was dark outside.

I didn’t fully feel like going.

But I went.

Fact is, nobody can give you back your health off you’ve lost it.

Doctors can try, and the miracles they can accomplish nowadays are amazing.

But exercise, constant daily exercise, is one of the main factors in your ongoing health.

It can be as simple as a brisk walk.

It didn’t have to be complex.

And you’ll find myriad other benefits as well!!

Time away from your desk to brainstorm creative solutions?

Check.

Time out in the natural world to pull you away from your phone and help you feel more connected?

Check.

Time for self care that is also healthy?

Check.

And most importantly, long term better fitness.

So take a few minutes and go outside.

Step away from your desk.

Enjoy yourself.

Detox a little.

Get some exercise.

You’ll be better off for it.

In our always-on world, taking even a little time off can hello you in so many ways!
